BACKGROUND
The appellant's invention relates to a process for the preparation of absorbent materials
from recycled fiber sludge, an absorbent material prepared by the process and a method of
absorbing using the absorbent material. An understanding of the invention can be derived from
a reading of exemplary claim 1, which appears in the appendix to the appellant's brief.

1. Claims 19-23 stand rejected under 35 U.S.C. § 112, second paragraph, as being
indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which
appellant regards as the invention.
