Appeal No. 1999-0700 Page 2 Application No. 08/590,580 BACKGROUND The appellant's invention relates to a process for the preparation of absorbent materials from recycled fiber sludge, an absorbent material prepared by the process and a method of absorbing using the absorbent material. An understanding of the invention can be derived from a reading of exemplary claim 1, which appears in the appendix to the appellant's brief.
