Appeal No. 1998-2614 Application No. 08/731,713 Claims 34, 45 and 52 are representative of the claimed subject matter and read as follows: Claim 34. A method for preparing a coated abrasive belt having an endless, seamless backing; the method comprising: (a) preparing a loop of liquid organic polymeric binder material having fibrous reinforcing material engulfed therein, in extension around the outer periphery of a support structure; (b) solidifying the liquid organic polymeric binder material to form a flexible, solidified, endless, seamless loop having about 70-85 wt-% solidified organic polymeric binder material with fibrous reinforcing material engulfed therein, generally parallel side edges, and inner and outer surfaces having generally no fibrous reinforcing material protruding therefrom; (c) applying an abrasive coating to the backing loop; and (d) removing the backing loop from the support structure. Claim 45. A method for preparing a coated abrasive belt having an endless, seamless backing; the method comprising: (a) preparing a loop of liquid organic polymeric binder material having fibrous reinforcing material engulfed therein, in extension around the outer periphery of a support structure; directly affect, be directly affected by, or have a bearing on the Board’s decision in the pending appeal.” See Brief, page 2.
