                    applying sufficient force to the particulate                      
          material to compress the material into a block                              
          within the compression chamber; and                                         
                    sliding the gate across an upper surface of the                   
          block at a rate of about 0.1 to 1.0 meter per second to smooth              
          said upper surface.

                    Claims 13-15 stand rejected under 35 U.S.C. § 102(b)              
          as being anticipated by BPS ‘215.                                           


                    Claims 13-16, 20 and 21 stand rejected under 35                   
          U.S.C. § 103 as being unpatentable over BPS ‘215.                           


                    Claims 17-19 stand rejected under 35 U.S.C. § 103 as              
          being unpatentable over BPS ‘215 in view of Stout.
