Appeal No. 2001-0843 Application No. 08/945,415 The claimed invention relates to a method of printing a multi-page job in which separate non-bit mapped files for each page of the job are produced. Further, a separate page file for each page of the print job is produced and stored in memory, the stored page files being subsequently printed in sequence. Claim 1 is illustrative of the invention and reads as follows: 1. A method of printing a multi-page job comprising: producing separate non-bit mapped files for each page of the multi-page job; producing a page file for each page of the multi- page job; storing the page files in a memory; and printing the page files in sequence.
