BACKGROUND The invention at issue on appeal illuminates a switch assembly for a vehicle. Modern vehicles include electrical input switches for locking and unlocking doors, opening and closing windows, and controlling seats. Such a switch may include backlighting to help an occupant locate the switch in the dark; the backlighting is operated simultaneously with the vehicle's headlights.
