An amendment filed March 27, 2001 after final rejection was approved for entry by the Examiner. The claimed invention relates to a system and method for use in communicating over a mobile communications link. Spoken words are converted into a sequence of letters and gaps and an encoder is utilized to convert the letters into a digital message.
