DATA BLOCK SYNC ERROR RECOVERY shown in Figure 11 on pages 19-21
of Appellants' specification.
The only claim, claim 11, present in the application is
reproduced as follows:
11. A disc drive, comprising:
a read/write head adjacent a rotatable disc on which data
are magnetically stored; and
recovery means for recovering the data from the disc.

Rejections at Issue
Claim 11 stands rejected under 35 U.S.C. § 102 as being
anticipated by Holsinger.
Rather than repeat the arguments of Appellants or the
Examiner, we make reference to the briefs2 and answer for the
respective details thereof.
1 Genheimer is on the patent but by a certificate of
correction, the inventor's name was changed to Holsinger.

Appellants filed a reply brief on June 24, 2002. The Examiner
mailed an office communication on July 23, 2002, stating that the
reply brief has been entered.
