A method of producing a highly oxidatively stable polyalphaolefin comprising the step of hydrogenating a polyalphaolefin to a level of hydrogenation in which a Lube Oil Oxidator level of at least 45 hours is achieved when pressures between 35 and 2500 psi are applied.
