The appellants found selecting from such so many templates to be "troublesome." (Id.) In contrast, the appellants' editing device automatically selects a template from a plurality of templates based on data associated with photographs to be laid out. The photographs are laid out according to the template. Based on a user's subsequent input, the device then edits the layout. (Appeal Br. at 2.) A further understanding of the invention can be achieved by reading the following claim. 1.
