Appeal No. 2003-0257 Application 09/472,054 THE INVENTION The appellants claim a device for registering the position of a printing plate on the plate cylinder of a printing machine by use of non-contacting sensors. Claim 1 is illustrative: 1. A device for registering the position of a printing plate on the plate cylinder of a printing machine, comprising: non-contacting sensors responsive to being covered by a printing plate, said sensors being provided on one of the plate cylinder and an attachment device of the plate cylinder, respectively.
