DECISION ON APPEAL
This appeal is from the final rejection of claims 1, 2, 10,
11, 28, 29, 30, 35 and 41. Claims 3-9, 12-18, 31-34, 36-40
and 42-46 stand objected to as dependent from a rejected base
claim but allowable if rewritten in independent form. Claims 19-
27 have been canceled.
THE INVENTION
The appellants claim a method, apparatus and memory for
applying a transform to the grayscale commands of a first printer
so as to simulate the grayscale printing characteristics of a
