Decision on Appeal
This is an appeal under 35 U.S.C. § 134 from the decision of the examiner finally
rejecting claims 1 through 7, all of the claims in the application. Claim 1 is illustrative of the
claims on appeal:
1. A coating composition comprising
a) 30 to 95 wt.% of an aqueous, hydroxy-functional, acid-group containing resin
dispersion,
b) 5 to 70 wt.% of a polyisocyanate component having a free isocyanate group content of
5 to 50 wt.% and a viscosity of 5 to 10,000 mPa.s at 23°C and D = 40s-1 and
c) 0.1 to 10 wt.% of a silane component, inert to isocyanate groups, of the general
formula (|)
