DECISION ON APPEAL
This is a decision on appeal from the final rejection of
claims 1-23.
Invention
Appellants' invention relates to a portable terminal, acting
as a point of sale cash register, that is adaptable to download
data relating to the inventory that is stocked onto a transport
such as for example a train from a workstation at the commissary
of the depot station where the goods are removed and loaded onto
the train. The data relating to the amount of inventory is input
to the portable terminal at the beginning of the trip. Once the
