Appeal No. 2003-1176 Application No. 09/074,288 molded foam material bonding said skin material to said porous substrate, whereby said porous substrate is held to a backside of the trim member that is opposite of the upholstery skin material. 2. The interior trim piece as defined in Claim 1, wherein said substrate comprises a porous fiberous [sic] material having openings therein, wherein said moldable foam material penetrates said openings and bonds to said porous material through said openings. Specifically, we affirmed the examiner’s rejections under: A. 35 U.S.C. § 102(b) of appealed claims 1 through 4 and 6 through 10 as anticipated by United States patent 5,082,609 issued to Rohrlach et al. (Rohrlach) on January 21, 1992; B. 35 U.S.C. § 102(b) of appealed claims 1 through 4 and 6 through 10 as anticipated by United States patent 5,180,617 issued to Takeuchi et al. (Takeuchi) on January 19, 1993; and C. 35 U.S.C. § 103(a) of appealed claims 1 through 4 and 6 through 10 as unpatentable over Takeuchi.
