Appeal No. 2006-1148 Application No. 10/382,492 interface means connected to receive control signals for at least one of said plurality of said lighting means from said central computer and to transmit monitoring data concerning said lighting means to said central computer, said interface means being connected for controlling said plurality of lighting means using said power distribution means for transmitting light control signals and receiving light monitoring data from said plurality of lighting means; and light controlling and monitoring means connected between said power distribution means and at least one of said plurality of lighting means for receiving said light control signals from said interface means for operating said at least one of said plurality of lighting means and for transmitting light monitoring data to said interface means using said power distribution means. As evidence of obviousness, the examiner offers Schwarzbach and Tann with regard to claims 1, 3, 4, 8, 10, and 11, adding to this combination, Rodgers with regard to claims 2 and 9, Paredes with regard to claims 5, 6, 12, and 13, McHerron with regard to claims 7 and 14, and Knapp with regard to claims 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 23, 24, and 26. With regard to claims 16 and 22, the examiner offers either Schwarzbach or Tann in view of Knapp and Rodgers, but with regard to claims 19 and 25, the examiner offers either one of Schwarzbach or Tann in view of Knapp and McHerron.
