Appeal 2006-2439 Application 09/986,446 determinations regarding the suitability of combining the teachings of Dove and Walker with Takayuki and Gesing (See Answer 4-5). We uphold these rejections for the reasons presented above regarding claim 12, and the reasons presented by the Examiner. CONCLUSION. Based on our consideration of the totality of the record before us, having evaluated the prima facie case of obviousness in view of Appellants’ arguments, we determine that for each ground of rejection the Examiner has established a prima facie case of obviousness that has not been adequately rebutted by Appellants. Accordingly, the rejections of claims 12, 14-18, and 21-24 have been affirmed. No time period for taking any subsequent action in connection with this appeal may be extended under 37 C.F.R. § 1.136(a)(1)(iv) (2006).
