                                            DECISION ON APPEAL                                                    
                    This is a decision on appeal from the final rejection of claims 1 to 15.                      


                                                    Invention                                                     
                    Appellant’s invention relates to a method for tracing the execution path of a                 
             computer program comprising at least one module including a plurality of instructions,               
             wherein at least one of the instructions is a branch instruction.  The method comprises              
             the steps of identifying each branch instruction, evaluating each branch instruction to be           
             one of true or false, and responsive to an evaluation of true, pushing a unique identifier           
             into a predefined area of storage, wherein the unique identifier is associated with the
