California Insurance Code ARTICLE 1 - Parties to the Contract: Generally

• Section 150.
  Any person capable of making a contract may be an insurer, subject to the restrictions imposed by this code.(Enacted by Stats. 1935, Ch. 145.)
• Section 151.
  Any person except a public enemy may be insured.(Enacted by Stats. 1935, Ch. 145.)
