Illinois Compiled Statutes 70 ILCS 910 Hospital District Law. Section 7

    Sec. 7. In addition to the requirements of the general election law, notice of the referendum shall state briefly the purpose of the referendum and shall include a description of the territory. The notice shall further state that any such District upon its establishment shall have the powers, objects and purposes provided by this Act, including the power to levy a tax of not to exceed .075 per cent of value, as equalized or assessed by the Department of Revenue, of all taxable property within the area of the District, for hospital operation and maintenance and other corporate purposes, and the power to issue tax secured bonds in the manner provided in this Act. Each legal voter residing within the territory shall have a right to cast a ballot at such election.
