Death benefits

Sec. 17. On and after April 1, 1965, and prior to April 1, 1969,

when death results from an injury within four hundred fifty (450)
weeks, there shall be paid to total dependent of said deceased, as
determined by IC 22-3-3-18, 19 and 20, a weekly compensation
amounting to sixty percent (60%) of the deceased's average weekly
wage, until compensation so paid, when added to any compensation
paid to deceased employee, shall equal four hundred fifty (450)
weeks, and to partial dependents as hereinafter provided.

On and after April 1, 1969, and prior to July 1, 1971, when death
results from an injury within five hundred (500) weeks, there shall
be paid to the total dependents of said deceased, as determined by the
provisions of IC 22-3-3-18, 19 and 20, weekly compensation
amounting to sixty percent (60%) of the deceased's average weekly
wage, until the compensation so paid, when added to any
compensation paid to the deceased employee, shall equal five
hundred (500) weeks, and to partial dependents as hereinafter
provided.

On and after July 1, 1971, and prior to July 1, 1974, when death
results from an injury within five hundred (500) weeks, there shall
be paid to the total dependents of said deceased, as determined by the
provisions of IC 22-3-3-18, 19 and 20, weekly compensation
amounting to sixty percent (60%) of the deceased's average weekly
wage, not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100) average weekly
wages, until the compensation so paid, when added to any
compensation paid to the deceased employee, shall equal five
hundred (500) weeks, and to partial dependents as hereinafter
provided.

On and after July 1, 1974, and before July 1, 1976, when death
results from an injury within five hundred (500) weeks, there shall
be paid the total dependents of the deceased, as determined by the
provisions of sections 18, 19 and 20 of this chapter, weekly
compensation amounting to sixty-six and two-thirds percent (66
2/3%) of the deceased's average weekly wage, not to exceed a
maximum of one hundred thirty-five dollars ($135) average weekly
wages, until the compensation so paid, when added to any
compensation paid to the deceased employee, shall equal five
hundred (500) weeks, and to partial dependents as hereinafter
provided. On and after July 1, 1976, when death results from an
injury within five hundred (500) weeks, there shall be paid the total
dependents of the deceased as determined by sections 18, 19 and 20
of this chapter, weekly compensation amounting to sixty-six and
two-thirds percent (66 2/3%) of the deceased's average weekly wage,
as defined by IC 22-3-3-22, until the compensation paid, when added
to the compensation paid to the deceased employee, equals five
hundred (500) weeks, and to partial dependents, as provided in
sections 18 and 20 of this chapter.
