"Dependent" defined
Sec. 2.1. For the purposes of section 2(a) of this chapter and with
respect to initial claims filed for any week beginning on and after
July 5, 1987, "dependent" includes a person who:
(1) is a child, adopted child, or stepchild of the claimant;
(2) is at least eighteen (18) years of age and less than
twenty-three (23) years of age;
(3) is enrolled in and regularly attending a secondary school or
is a full-time student at an accredited college or university; and
(4) receives more than one-half (1/2) of the cost of the person's
support from the claimant during the ninety (90) day period
immediately preceding the beginning date of the claimant's
benefit year.
