Indiana Code - Family Law and Juvenile Law - Title 31, Section 31-11-4-2

Prerequisites for issuance of marriage license

Sec. 2. A clerk of a circuit court may not issue a marriage license
unless the individuals who apply for the license have the authority to
marry each other under IC 31-11-1.
