Child causing delay; extension of time period

Sec. 10. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), if:
(1) a continuance is granted on a child's motion; or
(2) the proceedings are delayed by a child's act;
a time period is extended by the amount of the resulting delay.
(b) If a child causes a delay during the last thirty (30) days of a
time period, the state may petition the court for an additional thirty
(30) day extension.
