Sale of property; proceeds distribution; receipts

Sec. 9. (a) The court shall issue a warrant to the sheriff to sell the
property at auction, giving ten (10) days notice in writing of the time
and place of sale and describing the property to be sold.
(b) The sheriff shall, within five (5) days after the sale, return the
order and proceeds of sale to the court, retaining one dollar ($1) for
the sheriff's services.
(c) The court shall immediately pay over to the county treasurer
the proceeds of sale, after deducting the proper amount to be paid to
the finder, fifty cents ($0.50) for the fee of the judge of the court and,
for every mile that the judge must travel in making the return, a sum
for mileage equal to that sum per mile paid to state officers and
employees.
(d) The court shall receive from the treasurer duplicate receipts
and file one (1) receipt in the office of the clerk of the circuit court
and one (1) receipt with the county auditor.
