Duration of placard; permanent and temporary disability
Sec. 4. (a) A placard issued under section 1(1) of this chapter
expires on the recipient's fourth birthday that follows the date of the
placard's issuance if the recipient's disability is permanent. If the
disability is permanent, a new physician certification is not required
upon expiration of the placard, only reapplication.
(b) If the recipient's disability is not permanent, a placard issued
under section 1(1) of this chapter expires:
(1) six (6) months after the date of the placard's issuance; or
(2) on the date certified by a physician under section 1(1)(C) or
1(1)(D) of this chapter;
whichever occurs first.
