Officers authorized to act for their units of government
Sec. 1. The following officers may act for their respective units of
government under this chapter:
(1) The sheriff, for a county.
(2) The chief of police, for a city.
(3) A town marshal, for a town.
(4) A township trustee, for a township.
(5) A state police officer, for the state.
