General Laws of Massachusetts - Chapter 175 Insurance - Section 175 Representation or advertisement as agent, broker or adjuster without being duly licensed; carrying on of business in name other than that stated in license

Section 175. Whoever, not being duly licensed as an insurance agent or broker or as an adjuster of fire losses, represents or holds himself out to the public as being such an agent, broker or adjuster, or as being engaged in the insurance business, by means of advertisements, cards, circulars, letterheads, signs or other methods, or whoever, being duly licensed as such agent, broker or adjuster, advertises as aforesaid or carries on such business in any other name than that stated in his license, shall be punished by a fine of not less than ten nor more than one hundred dollars.
