324.2104 Exchange of lands; authorization; refund of application fee.

Sec. 2104.

(1) Any of the lands under the control of the department, the title to which is in this state and which may be sold and conveyed or are a part of the state lands, as well as lands later acquired by this state, or any part or portion of those lands, may be exchanged for lands of equal area or approximately equal value belonging to the United States or owned by private individuals if in the opinion of the department it is in the interest of the state to do so.

(2) If the department charges an application fee for a proposed sale of land under this section and the state land proposed for sale is sold to another party within 3 years after the date a completed application is received by the department, the department shall refund the application fee in full to the applicant if the applicant has informed the department of his or her current address.
