324.51508 Emergency assistance; persons subject to call; compensation; refusal; penalty.

Sec. 51508.

The department may call to its assistance in emergencies any able-bodied male person who has reached his eighteenth birthday who, unless the person is an inmate of a state or county correctional institution, shall be paid for his services in accordance with the minimum wage law of this state and if the person refuses to assist without reasonable justification, he is guilty of a misdemeanor.
