388.1853 Audit of enrollments, degrees, and awards at independent colleges and universities.

Sec. 253.

The auditor general may audit selected enrollments, degrees, and awards at selected independent colleges and universities receiving awards that are administered by the department of treasury. The audits shall be based upon definitions and requirements established by the department of treasury, the state budget director, and the senate and house fiscal agencies. The auditor general shall accept the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form as the standard of residency documentation.
