Sec. 459.
(1) A person who knowingly transports or causes to be transported, or aids or assists in obtaining transportation for, by any means of conveyance, into, through or across this state, any person for the purpose of prostitution or with the intent and purpose to induce, entice or compel that person to become a prostitute is guilty of a felony, punishable by imprisonment for not more than 20 years.
(2) A person who violates this section may be prosecuted, indicted, tried, and convicted in any county or city in or through which he shall transport or attempt to transport any person in violation of this section.
