773.6 Inquest; recording testimony of witnesses; transcript.

Sec. 6.

If there is a suspicion of murder, manslaughter, or assault, the testimony of all witnesses examined before the inquest shall be recorded by a stenographer or district court recorder. A written transcript of the testimony need not be prepared unless requested by the prosecuting attorney, medical examiner, the magistrate, or a judge of the court in the judicial district in which the offense could be tried.
