Nevada Revised Statutes Section 213.1218 - Correctional Institutions

Person to submit signed document before being released on parole; Division to contact person released on parole within 5 days unless waived by Chief.

1. Before a person may be released on parole, he must submit to the Division a signed document stating that:

(a) He will comply with the conditions of his parole; and

(b) If he fails to comply with the conditions of his parole and is taken into custody outside of this state, he waives all his rights relating to extradition proceedings.

2. The Division shall contact each parolee in person or by telephone within 5 days after the parolee’s release from prison. The Chief may waive this requirement if he determines that such contact is not necessary.
