Nevada Revised Statutes Section 213.1515 - Correctional Institutions

Inquiry to determine probable cause to believe violation occurred: Findings and determinations of inquiring officer; continued detention of parolee.

1. Upon completion of the inquiry, the inquiring officer shall:

(a) Make a written summary of what occurred at the inquiry, noting the substance of the evidence given in support of parole revocation and the parolee’s position and responses.

(b) Determine whether there is probable cause to hold the parolee for a Board hearing on parole revocation.

2. If the inquiring officer determines that there is probable cause, his determination is sufficient to warrant the parolee’s continued detention and return to prison pending the Board’s hearing.
