Liability for failure to exercise reasonable care to preserve life of infant born as result of attempted abortion. Whenever an abortion results in the birth of an infant capable of sustained survival by natural or artificial supportive systems, the failure to take all reasonable steps, in keeping with good medical practice, to preserve the life and health of the infant subjects the person performing the abortion to the laws of this state governing criminal liability and civil liability for wrongful death and medical malpractice.
