Administration, control and government of county hospitals acquired by purchase or construction under provisions of certain legislative acts. In all cases where any county hospital has been acquired by purchase, construction or otherwise, in any of the several counties of this state under or by virtue of any act of the Legislature other than NRS 450.010 to 450.510, inclusive, and has been governed and administered thereunder by the board of county commissioners, or otherwise, the board of county commissioners is authorized and empowered forthwith to appoint a board of hospital trustees for such county hospital. Thereafter, all the provisions of NRS 450.010 to 450.510, inclusive, relative to the maintenance of hospitals, election of hospital trustees, maintenance of a training school for nurses, provision for suitable care for such hospitals and disabled persons, and the administration and government of county hospital and patients therein shall be immediately applicable and controlling with respect to the future administration, control and government of such hospital in like manner and with the same force and effect as if an election had been duly held in accordance with the provisions of NRS 450.010 to 450.510, inclusive, and a majority of all the votes cast had been in favor of establishing such hospital.
