Sale or purchase of parts prohibited; penalties.
1. A person shall not knowingly, for valuable consideration, purchase or sell a part for transplantation or therapy.
2. Valuable consideration does not include reasonable payment for the removal, processing, disposal, preservation, quality control, storage, transportation or implantation of a part.
3. A person who violates this section is guilty of a category D felony and shall be punished as provided in NRS 193.130, or by a fine of not more than $50,000, or by both fine and the punishment provided in NRS 193.130.
