Notice of hearing on petition.
1. Upon the filing of a petition, the court shall fix a time, not less than 10 days nor more than 30 days thereafter, for the hearing of the matter. The court shall direct the clerk to issue a notice, reciting briefly the substance of the petition, stating the time and date set for the hearing, and requiring the person served with the notice to appear before the court at the hearing if he desires to oppose the petition.
2. A copy of the notice, together with a copy of the petition, must be served by the petitioner upon the medical director of each hospital or mental health facility to which the petitioner was admitted.
