Unlawful to engage in practice of counseling alcohol and drug abusers or problem gamblers without being licensed or certified; exceptions.
1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, a person shall not engage in the practice of counseling alcohol and drug abusers or the practice of counseling problem gamblers unless he is a licensed counselor, certified counselor or certified intern.
2. A person may engage in the practice of counseling alcohol and drug abusers under the supervision of a licensed counselor or the practice of counseling problem gamblers under the supervision of a certified counselor for not more than 30 days if that person:
(a) Is qualified to be licensed or certified pursuant to the provisions of this chapter; and
(b) Submits an application to the Board for a license or certificate pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.
