Nevada Revised Statutes Section 656.180 - Professions, Occupations and Businesses

Requirements for certification. [Effective on the date of the repeal of the federal law requiring each state to establish procedures for withholding, suspending and restricting the professional, occupational and recreational licenses for child support arrearages and for noncompliance with certain processes relating to paternity or child support proceedings.] An applicant for a certificate of registration as a certified court reporter is entitled to a certificate if he:

1. Is a citizen of the United States or lawfully entitled to remain and work in the United States;

2. Is at least 18 years of age;

3. Is of good moral character;

4. Has a high school education or its equivalent;

5. Satisfactorily passes an examination administered by the Board; and

6. Pays the requisite fees.
