Expiration; exception; renewal.
1. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 483.870, an identification card and a renewal of an identification card issued pursuant to NRS 483.810 to 483.890, inclusive, expires on the fourth anniversary of the birthday of the holder of the identification card, measured from the birthday nearest the date of issuance or renewal. Any applicant whose date of birth was on February 29 in a leap year is, for the purposes of NRS 483.810 to 483.890, inclusive, considered to have the anniversary of his birth fall on February 28.
2. An identification card is renewable at any time before its expiration upon application and payment of the required fee.
