New York Arts and Cultural Affairs Law Section 57.27 - Records with statewide significance.

 57.27. Records  with  statewide  significance.  The  commissioner of
  education is authorized to designate particular local government records
  for  permanent   retention   because   of   their   enduring   statewide
  significance.
