New York Banking Law Section 701 - Construction.

 701. Construction. The provisions of this chapter shall be construed
  as  a  continuation  of  the  provisions  of  chapter ten of the laws of
  nineteen hundred nine, as amended, modified or amended according to  the
  language employed, and not as a new enactment.
