New York Civil Practice Law & Rules R4537 - Proof of writing subscribed by witness.

Rule  4537.  Proof  of writing subscribed by witness. Unless a writing
  requires a subscribing witness for its validity, it may be proved as  if
  there was no subscribing witness.
