New York Public Health Law Section 2136 - Liability.

2136. Liability. 1. Good faith reporting or disclosure pursuant to this title shall not constitute libel or slander or a violation of the right of privacy or privileged communication.

2. Any person who in good faith complies with this title shall be immune from civil and criminal liability for any action taken in compliance with its provisions.

3. No criminal or civil liability shall arise against any protected individual solely due to his or her failure to cooperate in contact tracing conducted pursuant to section twenty-one hundred thirty-three of this title.
