In the construction of dams, reservoirs, and other incidental works under sections 1523.14 to 1523.20 of the Revised Code, the chief of the division of water resources shall proceed as provided by law, and shall enter into contracts therefor as provided in sections 153.01 to 153.29 of the Revised Code. The director of transportation, the chief of the division of wildlife with the approval of the director of natural resources, and any county, township, municipal corporation, and public park board or district may proceed with the letting of contracts for the construction of such dams or reservoir projects, approved by the chief of the division of water resources, under any laws regulating the letting of contracts applicable to their respective departments, divisions, districts, or political subdivisions, and the authority of sections 1523.14 to 1523.20 of the Revised Code.
