Oregon Statutes - Chapter 242 - Civil Service for City or School District Employees and Firefighters - Section 242.580 - Probation.

Each person appointed to a vacant position shall be on probation for a period of one year from the date of hire. Within that time the person may be discharged and another candidate appointed in like manner. [Amended by 1979 c.738 §4]
