(1) To aid and advise the State Commission on Children and Families in the performance of its functions, the state commission may establish such advisory and technical committees as it considers necessary. The state commission shall determine the representation, membership, terms and organization of the committees and shall appoint the members. The advisory and technical committees shall include members of local commissions on children and families.
(2) Members of committees are not entitled to compensation, but at the discretion of the state commission may be reimbursed from funds available to the state commission for actual and necessary travel and other expenses incurred in the performance of their official duties, subject to ORS 292.495.
