Oregon Statutes - Chapter 431 - State and Local Administration and Enforcement of Health Laws - Section 431.310 - Bacteriological and other examinations and newborn screening by state laboratory; rules; fees.

(1) For the better protection of the public health the laboratory of the Department of Human Services shall make bacteriological and other examinations of water, milk, blood, secretions or tissues required by any state, county or city institution, or officer, and may make such examinations for any licensed physician in accordance with the rules of the department.

(2) The department shall establish by rule and collect fees for tests performed in the state public health laboratory, not to exceed:

(a) $50 per test for tests other than newborn screening tests; and

(b) $30 per specimen for newborn screening tests.

(3) All money received for such tests shall be deposited in the Public Health Account to be used for expenses of the state public health laboratory. [Amended by 1977 c.582 §18; 1981 c.630 §1; 1983 c.351 §1; 1993 c.374 §1; 2001 c.760 §1]
