Oregon Statutes - Chapter 567 - Experiment Stations - Section 567.255 - Astor experiment station established; purpose; location.

In order to investigate and demonstrate the conditions under which useful plants, grains and fruits may be grown on submersible lands, reclaimed swamp lands and logged-off lands in this state and to determine the kinds of plants, grains and fruits best adapted for growth on such lands, there is established an agricultural experimental station in Clatsop County in such place as may be selected by the State Board of Higher Education. The station shall be known as the John Jacob Astor Agricultural Experiment Station. [Amended by 1969 c.594 §61]
